The group aims to conduct quantitative literary studies on literary works themselves and on their various metadata. This implies the use of statistical methods in quantitative textual analysis along the lines of distant reading: stylometry, quantitative genre studies, research into multimedial writing (e.g. blogs), literary geography, corpus building.
The working group’s aim is to coordinate and consolidate the activities of researchers and research centres concerned with the acquisition, automatic processing and providing digital resources, including non–literary types of textual materials.
