Tomasz Parkoła is the Director of Network Services Division at Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center. He manages R&D teams delivering innovative technologies for health & medicine, education, governmental agencies & public institutions as well as cultural heritage & digital humanities. He has been involved in a number of R&D and infrastructure projects, e.g. Dariah.lab Poland, Dariah.hub Poland, ERIHS.pl, OPERAS, HERIFORGE, Europeana, LUMEN, GRAPHIA, 3DBigDataSpace, 3D-4CH, SSHOC, OSCARS. He oversees a team of 80+ professionals with expertise on AI & analytics, data management & discovery, long-term archiving & workflows, cloud & DevOps, UX/UI research & design, frontend & backend as well as QA & support services. He is a board member in the IMPACT Centre of Competence, a co-head of DARIAH-EU’s VCC on E-infrastructure, a chair of the OPERAS-PL consortium board and a vice-chair of the DARIAH-PL consortium board. He is an author or co-author of several dozens of scientific and popular science publications. He holds several professional certifications, e.g. PMP®, PMI-ACP, UX-PM, Six Sigma.
